Banqeta Signs US and European Agreements with Visa to Power Virtual Card Programme and Accelerate Expansion

Banqeta, the multi-currency business payments platform used by companies in more than 130 countries, today announced it has entered into separate agreements with Visa in the United States and Europe to support Banqeta’s virtual only card programme, with Visa serving as the exclusive card scheme in each region. The arrangements include targeted investment from Visa to help accelerate Banqeta’s technology roadmap and market rollout.

Under the agreements, all Banqeta virtual cards issued in the US and Europe will run on the Visa network, giving business users access to Visa’s global acceptance footprint, advanced security features and industry-leading reliability. This strengthens Banqeta’s ability to deliver seamless, real-time spending solutions across traditional and digital currencies, enabling businesses to operate with greater speed, control and flexibility.
